How IVF acupuncture supports you at every stage

  • Preparing for IVF – Acupuncture can help get your body in the best possible health to maximise your chances of success.
  • Undergoing IVF – A weekly treatment provides a calm space to relax, offload stress, and support your body through the intensity of treatment.
  • Embryo transfer DayStudies show acupuncture before and after transfer can positively impact IVF outcomes. That’s why we’re open 7 days a week!
  • The two-week wait – When time slows down and anxiety builds, treatments help reduce stress and provide much-needed care.
  • During your first trimester – After the fertility clinic check-ins end, we offer continuity of care and support during this early stage of pregnancy.
  • Treatment hasn’t been successful – We provide a compassionate, empathetic ear, supporting the return of your menstrual cycle and helping you consider next steps when you’re ready.

What our IVF acupuncture treatment focuses on:

  • Hormone balance & ovarian function – supporting optimal response to stimulation and improving egg quality.
  • Uterine health & implantation support – enhancing blood flow and lining receptivity to create the best environment for embryo implantation.
  • Progesterone support – helping maintain hormone levels after egg retrieval and embryo transfer.
  • Immune system & inflammation – reducing inflammation and regulating immune function, which can impact implantation and early pregnancy.
  • Oxidative stress & egg/sperm quality – supporting cellular health to improve the quality of eggs, sperm, and embryos.
  • Fluid retention & bloating – alleviating discomfort commonly experienced during stimulation and after transfer.
  • Stress & emotional wellbeing – calming the nervous system, improving emotional resilience, and helping you manage anxiety throughout the process.
  • Sleep – enhancing sleep quality to aid hormone regulation and recovery.
  • Digestive health & metabolism – supporting digestion, blood sugar balance, and overall energy.
  • Lifestyle factors – reviewing nutrition, exercise, rest, and relaxation to strengthen your body for IVF.
  • Male factor – considering sperm health, lifestyle, and wellbeing, even if your partner isn’t attending clinic.

Alongside IVF acupuncture, our integrated clinic offers:

We have four IVF acupuncture clinics across London and a UK-wide network of practitioners open 7 days a week to fit around your treatment schedule.

I started seeing Hannah in the lead up to our first round of IVF and following a miscarriage. Even though I was a little anxious about the needles at first, Hannah was very reassuring and I was surprised that you could hardly feel them. I found the acupuncture itself extremely relaxing. More importantly, Hannah’s fertility and woman’s health knowledge plus calming manner was completely invaluable.

When should I start IVF acupuncture?
Ideally we recommend starting acupuncture support two to three months before your IVF cycle begins, to help prepare your body and optimise egg quality and hormone balance. However we also work with clients who come to us mid-cycle — it’s never too late to start.
Can I have acupuncture on the day of embryo transfer?
Yes. There is a specific IVF acupuncture protocol for the day of transfer, with sessions before and after. Studies suggest this can positively impact IVF outcomes. We are open seven days a week specifically to accommodate transfer day appointments.
Is IVF acupuncture safe?
Yes, when performed by a qualified fertility acupuncturist. All our practitioners specialise in fertility and reproductive health and are fully qualified and insured. We will always ask about your treatment protocol and liaise carefully around your cycle.
Can acupuncture help if my IVF treatment has not been successful?
Yes. We offer compassionate support after an unsuccessful cycle helping with the emotional impact, supporting the return of your menstrual cycle, and helping you consider next steps when you’re ready.
Do you work alongside IVF clinics?
Yes. We work closely with IVF clinics across London and the UK, tailoring each treatment to complement your medical care rather than replace it.
Where do you offer IVF acupuncture?

We have four clinics across London in Streatham, Balham, Belgravia and Bethnal Green, and we’re open seven days a week. We also have a UK-wide network of trained practitioners so wherever you are in the UK, specialist IVF acupuncture support is likely closer than you think.
