About me
I’m a Fertility Support trained acupuncturist with a passion for everything related to women’s health and fertility. The way our hormones work and the link between emotional and physical health fascinates me. I love the power of acupuncture and I love seeing the positive changes that can happen with a woman’s menstrual cycle and her emotional health. These changes can happen quite quickly upon starting treatment.
What happens in the treatment room is just a portion of what I do. By offering practical tools and suggestions, I love to help empower, teach and guide women (and their partners) to have a better understanding of their fertile health and well being. We are bombarded with so much information as to what we should and shouldn’t be doing from multiple sources, I promise to help you work out what is right for you – no journey is the same.
Experience
My experience & qualifications include:
- I studied at the fabulous CICM college and completed my BSc in Acupuncture (1st Class Honours)
- Super proud to have completed the Advanced Fertility Acupuncture Diploma (Naava Carmen) which is currently one of the highest regarded fertility acupuncture education programmes.
- I’m currently training to become a Fertility Coach with Women’s Health Network (watch this space for additional fertility coaching programmes!) and completing a peri-menopause and menopause certification at The Integrated Women’s Health Institute
- I offer Facial Enhancement Acupuncture for the times in your cycle when you need a ‘pick me up’
- I volunteered with World Medicine and spent time in rural India providing acupuncture support with a wonderful team of acupuncturists.
- Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, I was a radiographer, working in Private and NHS healthcare for over 20 years.
- My background in Western Medicine has been invaluable for me to be able to offer understanding of Western diagnoses and the pathways undertaken during the diagnostic process to enhance my acupuncture practice.
